Homemade Natural Dog Food Recipe

- 12 lbs Sweet Potatoes
- 3 Cups Jasmine Rice
- 3 Lbs Ground Turkey
- 2 cans String Beans
- 2 cans Carrots
Peal and dice sweet potatoes into 3/4" - 1" cubes
Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the sweet potato's to the water.
While Sweet Potato's are boiling, in a separate pot bring 4.5 cups of water to a boil and add in the 3 cup's of rice. Once the rice is added lower the heat to medium for 5 minutes and stir occasional. Lower the heat to a simmer and allow the rice to cook stirring occasionally.
While Sweet Potato's are boiling, add the ground turkey to pan on medium heat. Use a meat masher to to ground up the beef and cook until done, approximately 15 minutes.
Once the sweet potato's are soft, drain the water and add to a mixing bowl with the canned carrots (make sure you drain the juice from the can before adding the carrots to the bowl). Using a blender or potato masher, blend the potato's to a smooth consistency.
Add the ground turkey, and white rice, and string beans (make sure you drain the juice from the can before adding the string beans to the bowl) to the mixed sweet potato's and using a spatula mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Once the mixture is completely mixed you can add to containers and store in the fridge until used.
- Substitutions for the recipe:
- Ground Turkey
- You can use ground chicken or ground beef.
- Canned Carrots
- You can use 8-10 large carrots, sliced and boiled until soft.
- Canned String Beans
- You can use 1lb fresh string beans heated up.
Feed your dog approximately 1 cup of food for every 50lbs (our dog is 115lbs and we feed him about 2.5 cups twice a day) twice a day. Adjust as necessary for your dog and be sure not to overfeed.
